VisitBritain - Tradeshow Excellence leads as the first workshop for Your Partner in Business Events programme

VisitBritain has this week held its inaugural workshop designed to support the development and competitiveness of business events to the UK.

The Tradeshow Excellence workshop, hosted at CentrEd at the ExCeL London, saw 20 attendees learn how to maximise their investment and presence at international business event tradeshows.

Facilitated by Stephan Murtagh from The Exhibition Guy, who has 25 years’ experience in exhibitions, the workshop included detailed sessions on setting objectives, planning the pre, during and post-event stages of attending a tradeshow, how to engage attendees onto the stand and following up leads after the event.

VisitBritain’s Head of Business Events Kerrin MacPhie said:

“VisitBritain is committed to growing the international business events sector. One way we are delivering on this is by helping the sector become more internationally competitive, giving them the tools and skills to win more business, growing the economic impact to the country”

The VisitBritain ‘Your Partner in Business Events’ programme was launched at The Meetings Show in June. Upcoming workshops include ‘Developing Ambassador Programmes’, ‘Bidding for International Events’ and more.
